{"id":649,"date":"2026-03-20T16:33:33","date_gmt":"2026-03-20T15:33:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/germanwargamingcenter.eu\/?post_type=team-member&#038;p=649"},"modified":"2026-03-20T16:33:51","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T15:33:51","slug":"oberleutnant-zur-see-jan-landsiedel","status":"publish","type":"team-member","link":"https:\/\/germanwargamingcenter.eu\/en\/team-member\/oberleutnant-zur-see-jan-landsiedel\/","title":{"rendered":"1st Lieutenant Jan Landsiedel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1st Lieutenant Landsiedel<\/strong>&nbsp;is a project manager and researcher at the R&amp;D Department of the Bundeswehr Planning Office, specialized in Wargaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is the author of the German Wargaming Handbook of the Bundeswehr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He holds a Master\u2019s Degree in Intelligence and Security Studies from the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich and is currently pursuing a doctorate at the Helmut Schmidt University \/ University of the Bundeswehr Hamburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a brief assignment as a Navy Diver, he transferred to R&amp;D and helped to build the theoretical foundation for the institutionalization of Wargaming within the Bundeswehr.
